Metalcasting is critical to our country's economic growth and national security. The challenge? Not enough well-trained workers to fill essential roles.

Join AFS and Jobs for the Future (JFF) - a national nonprofit and recognized apprenticeship/work-based learning expert – to learn how apprenticeship and other work-based learning programs can help foundries improve their recruitment, training, and retention practices and create a new generation of metalcasters. This webinar will cover the key components and benefits of apprenticeship/work-based learning and how JFF, under the US Department of Defense-funded initiative METAL, offers no-cost technical assistance and funding to foundries in the creation and expansion of these programs at their facilities.

Attendees will also hear from AFS member Michelle Szymik, Vice President of Human Resources at Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry, one of 3,000 manufacturers across the country now offering a customized apprenticeship program to meet their evolving operational workforce needs.

This webinar will begin at 1:00 p.m. CST
