The American Foundry Society today announced that its 2020 Government Affairs Fly-In has been cancelled. Instead, AFS will host an online, three-hour “Advocacy Summit” on May 19, 2020 beginning at 9 AM CST. The Summit will feature expert speakers including Labor Secretary Eugene Scalia, as well as interactive discussions and updates on how to affect positive change on key metalcasting issues. AFS will also unveil new research documenting the economic impact of the foundry industry throughout the United States. The Advocacy Summit is free of charge but one must be an AFS member to register.
