This webinar will serve to clarify, in plain language, the requirements of OSHA’s Respirable Crystalline Silica (RCS) standard.  We will cover the basic and necessary definitions of silica related terms and review the resources available on the AFS website.  Emphasis will be put on the use of “The Silica Handbook for Small and Medium-Sized Foundries” (available free online to AFS Members).  It is recommended that you download a copy of “the handbook” prior to the webinar as we will go through it in detail discussing how to best use the forms, templates, and tables.  By the end of the webinar, you should have a firm understanding of what OSHA expects, which steps to take first, when to hire a professional, how to draft your own compliance plan, which types of exposure controls OSHA prefers, and where to find helpful forms and templates to document your efforts toward compliance.  Please join us and increase your confidence that your company is in full compliance of RCS regulations.
