A lot of warehouse space is devoted to storage of old, seldom used foundry patterns. When you factor auxiliary storage space, insurance and other factors, the process can be quite costly. Ever wonder if there’s a way to just eliminate the old patterns that are rarely used for production parts? This webinar reviews a technology that can help solve that problem by scanning the patterns to create a digital image of the component. If the pattern is needed in the future, the digital image can be sent directly to a 3D sand printer for production of a sand mold. By converting to digital files, there is no need to store all those old patterns indefinitely. This webinar was presented at the recent AFS additive manufacturing conference.
This AFS Members Only Webinar will begin at 1 p.m. CT.
