President-elect Donald Trump is promising major changes to U.S. trade policy that, if implemented, will significantly impact U.S. and foreign companies. Although the full details of the president-elect's plans are not yet clear, some of the most important proposals discussed in campaign speeches included: renegotiating the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA); identifying China as a currency manipulator; bringing new trade cases against China; and, Identifying and remedying trade agreement violations.
